▼ new SAM ‘K Steel 2’ raises the bar to new levels (press release)
▼
SAM Leisure have forged a
reputation for excellence in the Professional pool arena over many
years. The K Steel has been the table of choice for the American pro
circuit and used throughout the Riley's estate, The Elbow Rooms and the
independent snooker sector.
In 2010, at EAG, SAM will be
launching the K-Steel-2, already chosen for the Professional GB9 tour.
With a sleek, redesigned top frame and cushion assembly the K Steel 2
really pushes the boundaries on pool table accuracy, consistency and
player appeal. Not just a joy to play on, the K Steel 2 features pockets
and rubbers of such strength and durability that the user need not
worry about replacement until long after most other tables have
been put out to pasture! Designed specifically to meet new EPBF
Specifications, the K Steel 2 has impressed the current World 9 Ball
Champion, Daryl Peach (The UK currently boasts no less than 3 World
Champions in the American Pool game),
Reported quote:
“After seeing
for myself the quality, precision, and sheer scale of the SAM set up in
Spain, I am in no doubt that SAM are the best table manufacturer in the
world, with absolutely nothing left to chance. The custom table that we
will be using on the GB 9 Ball Tour is a picture of perfection with a
super sleek look that is a sure winner. On the playability side of
things this table is second to none. Everything possible has been taken
into consideration, from the EPBF approved tournament spec pocket sizes,
cuts, and shelf depths, to the new and improved Artemis ‘steel response’
cushions. I can’t wait for the 2010 season to start so that every GB9
member gets the opportunity to experience pool table perfection."
The first commercial site to install the new K Steel 2 will open in
January. Rock and Roller in Brighton will boast six K Steel 2’s in high
gloss black formica and striking lime green cloth. The success of
American pool led designer bars seems to continue as Rock and Roller
follows hard on the heels of Miss Q’s, the Nick Valentine and Eddie
Bloom collaboration in Earls Court that opened in November.
