Brunswick Slate
Brunswick Billiards slate is finished to the finest
tolerance (0.001mm) and every piece of
sectional-slate is individually tested for
perfect level.
Brunswick slate comes in 2 thicknesses: One inch
for quality tables and three-quarters of an inch
as a low-cost option on some of the domestic
tables. The one inch slates also use hardwood
framing for an extra rigid base. Slate is
sourced from Italy and brazil and all sections
of slate satisfy the
Billiard Congress of America

Precision moulding of the Brunswick Billiards
rubbers, and an automated placement /adhesion of
the rubbers gives a consistency of play
throughout all the dimensions of the table and
guarantees the international standard on
rubber-depths (1.44")
The wood
All Brunswick wood and timbers are oven-dried in supervised
kilns to a moisture level of 7% and then
preserved and finished to exclude further
moisture penetration. In addition all
wooden-frame parts are uniquely jointed by
dovetails to enable the manufacture of a solid
and robust frame with near-enough permanent
rigidity. The rails are always hardwoods,
machined to the finest tolerances, with an
applied multiple-stepped layered-lacquered
finish to give the finest long-lasting and easy
to maintain finish. These proven processes are
